The Learn to Play Hockey program is a USA Hockey Cross-Ice Instructional program. All practice plans are based on USA Hockey's American Development Model (ADM). This program is designed to be the natural progression into the Orchard Lake Hockey Association Mini-Mite & Mite program.

1. Full Hockey Equipment is Required (Athletic supporter/cup, knee/shin pads, socks attached to support/cup with Velcro/tapes, hockey pants, hockey skates (sharpened), chest pad, elbow pads, jersey (supplied), HECC approved helmet, gloves, and a hockey stick. We do not advise wearing equipment big enough “to grow into”—proper fitting equipment will ensure your child’s safety, comfort, and ease of movement.)
2. USA Hockey Membership - Cost does not include membership to USA Hockey (fee based on age). This membership must be completed prior to Learn to Play registration.

Learn to Play runs 3 session through the Fall Hockey Season. All sessions are on Fridays 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Athletic Complex, 3939 Commerce Road, Orchard Lake.
